Underground Professional is an award-winning boutique design services firm based in Chicago, Illinois. We provide you with your own personal design specialist ready to help with an array of services: building a website, maintaining or upgrading a current site, providing technical support and training, copywriting, language translations, SEO analysis and optimization (there’s more too, but we’ll get to that later).
We work with a wide range of clients—from local businesses to international corporations, and your specialist will take the time needed to understand you, your business, and the difference between the two. With a large arsenal of tactics to achieve the most efficient solution—and the most value possible—I’m confident we can get you that special final product we’re both proud of.

How we will work together
Client Relationship
I have a direct one-on-one relationship with my clients, and it’s important for me to understand your personality and your business space – that makes me the most helpful in helping to come up with creative, productive solutions.
Work Hours and Billing Options
I’m available you Mon–Fri 9am–5pm (unless it’s a rush order or an emergency) via email and direct line, and there are three ways we can work together:
Single Project
If you have a project that has a specific size and scope (such as “build me a website” or “I need a poster for this event”), I will send you an online estimate as well as a timeline. Once you approve, you are billed for 50% of the cost. When the project is complete, you will be billed for the remaining balance. Easy and simple.
On Demand
For ongoing work (such as website maintenance, ongoing document layout, or any other service that continues for an indeterminate amount of time), you can choose to simply call me when you need something done, which gets billed hourly and invoiced at the end of the month.

You can choose to pay a monthly retainer for a certain number of hours per month. There are several ways to use those hours (you can have requests completed ASAP, or we can have fixed time slots when you know all your requests that you have sent me will get done, etc.). Clients who have a monthly retainer receive a discount on the hourly rate.

I specialize in the WordPress framework, however years of experience and training in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and more have given me the ability to get the most out of your time. And if your site changes often, WordPress gives you the power to update your own site without needing to know a single line of code.
Maintenance and Security
I always tell my clients that owning a website is a lot like owning a car; Your car needs regular oil changes, tire rotations, and other tune-ups. Same with your website; if you don’t take care of it, that can create security holes for hackers and malicious bots. I use the most aggressive tools available to lock down your site from any threats. From a routine maintenance check to a full security sweep, I can help.
